Bryan Adams

Bryan Guy Adams was born on November 5 1959 in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He is a Canadian rock singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer, and photographer. Bryan has won many awards and nominations. He is the best Canadian male artist ever, he has sold over 75 million albums and 30 million singles in the world. He plays the vocals, guitar, bass guitar, piano, keyboards and harmonica. Did you know that he is a vegan? Well I didn't. He stands out for animal rights and he even has a charity fund. Bryan believes that an education is the best gift that a child could get. I don't really think so :D. One thing that puts up questions is that nobody has written on the internet that is he married or has he children. For god sakes he is 50 years old. I found out that he seems to be dating :D , well you're 50 years old and still dating? :D. I don't know how reliable the source is but it tells me that he has dated Princess Diana, I'm sorry but, what the hell? Is it even legal :D Despite that I love his music and he seems to be a good and descent guy. I wish that he could come again to Estonia and perform :). And I also hope that you forgive me that this post came a bit long, because it was my last blog entry. Bye! :)

Bobcat

Bobcat is one of the three wild cats found in Canada. In Nova Scotia the population of them is the highest there. They are about 25cm tall and weigh about 9 kg. It has light brown coat, sharp teeth and claws. The Bobcat eats only meat, usually it hunts down birds, rabbits and squirrels. But the most amazing fact is that it can kill a deer. I wouldn't never thought that this little cat can kill a deer, considering that the deer
weighs about 500kg. They are very fast animals and can run up to 50 km/h. Like any other cat it can climb trees and has an exceptional sense of sight and hearing. It hunts after midnight. Amazing is that the Bobcat will put its back feet in the same spot as the front feet whilst hunting, to achieve quieter movement.

Gwîn Betys

In English it means Beetroot Wine. It's a classical Welsh country-style wine. It contains beetroot, sugar and raisins flavoured with spices. I have never heard that they make wine out of beetroot. This is just a little part of they're culture.

Here is what you need:
1,800 g beetroot
1,350 g sugar
1 gallon water
1 lemon
Wine yeast

Recipe:
Wash the beet thoroughly and cut them into slices and cook in the water until mild. Strain the beetroot on to the sugar and stir strongly until all the sugar is dissolved. When cool add the yeast. Cover the bucket and leave for five days stirring regularly.

Llyn y Fan Fawr

In Welsh it means the Lake of the small beacon-hill. It is in the eastern border of the Black Mountain in Carmarthenshire, south Wales. It's near to Llyn y Fan Fawr. The legend is connected with the lake. There a local young man, son of a widow from Blaen Sawdde married to a beautiful girl who came from the lake. But they agreed that he won't hit her three times. For years they were happy and even had their own little family. As time passed by, the man did hit the wife and she went back to the lake and took the cattle with her. But soon she came back the help and instruct her children. Some of the elements relate to the Welsh traditions of the fairies. There are many versions of the legend.

Hāngi

Hāngi is a traditional New Zealand Māori method of cooking food using heated rocks buried in a pit oven still used for special occasions. To do that you have to dig a pit in the ground, then heat the stones in the pit with a large fire, place the baskets of food on top of the stones and then cover it up, several hours later lift it up. There are many ways how to do or make a Hāngi. The Hāngi ''experts'' have improved the methods and they've been handed down for generations. The Hāngi is a part of their culture.

King Arthur

King Arthur is a legendary British leader. He lead the defence of Britain against Saxon incomers in the sixth century. Arthur is a mythic figure in Celtic Stories. He is also presented as a military leader, the Dux Bellorum in the Latin chronicles. Later in romance he was a king and an emperor. Nobody really doesn't know if he is a historical figure or not. Arthur also appears as a magical figure of folklore, related with the Welsh Otherworld, Annwn. The legend tells that he was the leader of the Kinghts of the Round Table and owned the sword Excalibur. He developed as a figure of international interest largely through the popularity of Geoffrey of Monmouth's imaginative 12th-century History of the Kings of Britain. In the 21st century, the legend lives on, not only in literature but also in theatre, film, television and comics. In 2004 there was made a film of King Arthur who was played by Clive Owen.

Black Annis also known as Black Agnes. She has blue face, iron claws, taste for human specially for child flesh. She is a hag or a witch. People believe that she haunts in the countryside of Leicestershire, lives in a cave in the Dane Hills and has an oak tree at its entrance. The Black Annis goes out at night looking for children and lambs to eat, then tanning their skins and hanging on the tree. Later she wears them on her waist. It's said that she creates her cave digging a hole into it with her iron claws. In the 18th century the parents were very concerned about their children, so they warned them by telling them that if the don't behave Black Annis will catch them. A young photographer

Eleanor Hardwick was born in England, Oxford in 1993. She is a young English photographer. Eleanor found photography at the age of twelve. At first she took pictures of collectable Japanese fashion dolls. Later she became interested in portraiture and fashion photography. She is studying for her A-levels and also she is working as a self-employed photographer. Her work embodies the idea of daydreaming the banality and routine of everyday life into something more mystical, playful and beautiful. It's a reflection of a world where surrealism meets realism. Her most well known client is Harper's Bazaar. Her photos were noticed by the site Flickr. Eleanor has once said that photography is her number one passion in life.

Actually I found her randomly from the internet. I'm amazed by her work and achievements considering her young age. She is an inspiration to me, I'd really like to meet her :)

Many people around the world wear Irish designed tattoos. People often get them to show their legacy. There are many kinds of tattoos such as Irish armbands, Irish clover tattoos, shamrock tattoos and more. It has existed here more than thousands of years. You can find it in stonework, in ancient manuscripts. An Irish Celtic knotwork is older than 400BC. To Irish people the tattoos hold a special meaning. So if you're going to get an Celtic tattoo, it's best to know the tattoo meaning, but sometimes the meaning can be personal. People don't know much about them. Most of the tattoos are inspired by Irish illuminated manuscripts. The Celts started tattooing when their stone and metalwork began.
